News to know: Rental assistance, equity policy headed for school board vote, students to receive Lenovo laptops, Xello Family and more.
The VPS board of directors will hold a first reading of the policy at its Jan. 11, 2022, school board meeting. The board will vote on the policy on Feb. 8.
Technology changes are coming to VPS students in sixth through 12th grades in the 2022-23 school year.
No start date has been set for testing at VPS schools. Before any optional testing will be offered at school sites, the district will have a plan in place that addresses logistics and safety, and will communicate information to staff members and families.

Interested parents should contact their healthcare provider or local pharmacies about availability and scheduling. VPS is not offering vaccinations at district schools. The COVID-19 vaccine is not currently required for student enrollment.
